Our client has a wonderful home and backyard but she wanted a place where she could retreat from her busy family life to enjoy some downtime.
“I found some windows that I absolutely loved so bought them without really thinking much about how they would fit with the original building plans I had purchased. Thankfully, Kent and his team were able to redesign things without it costing me a ton and I am absolutely thrilled with the way they look and how my she-shed turned out!”
DIY – ADDING A PERSONAL TOUCH AND KEEPING THE COSTS DOWN
When building a she-shed, the client has lots of options. In this client’s case, she wanted to do some of the finishing work herself to keep the costs down. “I love watching DIY shows on tv so I was really excited to take on things like the painting and putting in the flooring. It is a small space so I felt really comfortable doing it and I am pretty proud of how it turned out!”.
The vaulted ceiling really opens things up in a smaller space and the pot lights give the space a nice clean open look. “I wanted to have a feminine feel in the space so when I found the chandelier I knew I had to add it. It isn’t really about the light, it’s all about adding a little bit of bling to my space!”
SOME NICE FINISHING TOUCHES
The client wanted her She-shed to look homey and welcoming. We added a small front porch that featured some beautiful cedar and recessed lighting that gives the She-shed a wonderful glow at night.
